Partners Joe Silvaggio and Larry Bartell bring over 30 years of shared history working side by side and were later joined by Kayla Lough, who has been an integral part of their team for the past decade since graduating from college. Founding Tax Partner with 37 years of public accounting experience concentrated in income tax compliance, income and estate tax planning, and IRS audit mediation. Client responsibilities include Corporations, Private Foundations, Partnerships, Trusts, Estates and High Net Worth Individuals.
Joe received both his Master’s Degree in Accounting (Tax) and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Ohio Society of CPAs. Married to his wife of 34 years (Theresa) and has 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
Laurence A. Bartell has over 50 years of experience as a certified public accountant. Prior to that, he was a tax partner in the international accounting firm KPMG.
He is a graduate of Miami University in 1968, with a Bachelor of Science degree, and is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of Ohio. Additionally, Larry holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall Law School with a Juris Doctor degree and is a practicing attorney in the State of Ohio. He is married to his wife (Nancy) of 50+ years and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Kayla co-founded JKL Financial Services Group in 2026. Kayla brings over a decade of experience in tax preparation and planning for high net-worth individuals, private companies, and their executives. She has extensive experience with pass-through entities, including multi-state and local tax compliance with an international full-service accounting and advisory firm.
Kayla obtained a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University. She is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Ohio Society of CPA’s. Kayla and her husband (Jay) have 4 children together.
Prior to joining JKL Financial Services Group Ltd, Matt worked for Winbridge SBF Ltd and Sustin, Bartell & Fitzgerald, Ltd. as an Accounting Associate. His responsibilities include QuickBooks, CCH Tax, and Document data entry. He also reconciles client bank accounts and tax accounts with local taxing authorities.
Matt has a terrific work ethic and a positive attitude. Matt is married (Kristi) and has three daughters.
